Women’s President’s and Captain’s Day Wrap Up

The Club was abuzz with excitement on the picturesque sunny winter day of August 24th, as the highly anticipated Women’s President’s and Captain’s Day event unfolded. With the participation of over 50 enthusiastic members, the event proved to be a memorable gathering that celebrated the spirit of camaraderie, competition, and the rich history of the club.

The clear skies and gentle breeze provided the perfect backdrop for the 4BBB golf event that kickstarted the day’s festivities. As players engaged in friendly yet competitive matches, the atmosphere was charged with energy and sportsmanship. Laughter, cheers, and the occasional groans of disappointment could be heard across the greens as each team vied for victory.

Following the golf event, participants gathered in the dining room to indulge in a delicious two-course lunch. Adding a touch of nostalgia to the event, historical photos adorned the screen, prompting attendees to take a trip down memory lane. These snapshots of the club’s past evoked fond memories and sparked conversations about the club’s growth and transformation over time.

The pinnacle of the event arrived as the scores were tallied, revealing the winners of the day’s competition. The Captain’s team emerged triumphant with an impressive score of 456 points, closely followed by the President’s team with 452 points.

Celebrating individual achievements, the event recognised the Best Captains Pair, Fairlie Halligan and Rhea Marin, who secured an outstanding 45 points. On the President’s side, Marilyn Anderson and Denise Craig formed an exceptional pair, garnering 43 points and earning them the title of Best Presidents Pair. The NTP winners, Karen Mahady and Fairlie Halligan, also received well-deserved accolades for their impressive shots.
