2026 Philip Courtney Trophy – Final

The Philip Courtney Semi-Final matchplay rounds took place today and our 2026 finalists have been decided.

The final match will be as follows:

Geoff Arthur & Peter Doran vs Chris Hansen & Cec Bailey

The final match will take place on Saturday the 7th of February.

With the Philip Courtney Quarter Finals taking place today in very windy conditions our semi finalists have now been decided.

The semi-final matches will be as follows:

AM – Archie Hooper & Craig Hilton vs Geoff Arthur & Peter Doran

PM – Jaymes Leahy & Alan Ennis vs Chris Hansen & Cec Bailey

The semi-final matches will take place on Saturday the 31st of January.

The Philip Courtney is one of Spring Valleys Men’s Major Events that is held every year. The event consists of one 4BBB Par qualifying round from where the top 4 AM scores and top 4 PM scores qualify to handicap match play over the coming weeks.

The qualifying round took place this past Saturday in difficult windy conditions with the partnership of Phil and George Elliott taking out the number qualifying spot in the morning with a score of plus 9, while  the partnership of Jaymes Leahy and Alan Ennis took out the number qualifying spot in the afternoon with a score of plus 9.
