Women’s Presidents’ and Captains’ Day 2025 Wrap Up

On Thursday, 18th September, Spring Valley Golf Club hosted the annual Women’s Presidents’ and Captains’ Day, a highlight on the women’s golfing calendar.

Over 50 women enjoyed a round of golf, with even more joining in for the lively luncheon that followed. It was especially wonderful to welcome back several past Presidents and Captains, who continue to play such an important role in our club’s history.

After golf, everyone gathered in the clubhouse to enjoy a delicious Carvery Buffet, which was met with plenty of smiles and satisfied appetites.

The day also saw some friendly competition on course, with the Captain’s Team, led by Helen Noble, taking out the honours. Their average score of 32.31 points narrowly edged out the President’s Team, led by Dot George, who finished on 30.44 points. Congratulations to Helen and her team on a fantastic win!

Special mention goes to our Nearest the Pin winners, Jin Yan Li and Fran Reddan, who showcased their precision on the day.

The celebrations also included recognising members who reached important milestones, proudly collecting their bag tags in front of their peers.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in, making the day such a warm and memorable celebration of women’s golf at Spring Valley.
