Women’s Interclub – Round 1

Our Interclub season got underway in style with Round 1 hosted at the Patterson River Golf Club. We were fortunate to enjoy a sunny day—although the blustery conditions added an extra challenge on the greens, making putting a real test.

We were thrilled to welcome three new players to our squad:

• Nammie Intarak, Youngsun (Elly) Kim and Huong (Hannah) Nguyen

All three made a fantastic impression and are exciting additions to our team, which was rounded out by Fairlie Halligan and Wendy Van Bakel on the day.

Taking on the strong side from Victoria Golf Club, all five matches were tightly contested. Spring Valley held a promising lead, 2 matches up at the turn, with every game still in play heading into the closing holes. Our team showed great determination and skill, taking several matches right to the wire.

Despite their best efforts, the team narrowly went down 4–1. A competitive start with plenty of positives to take into the next round—this group is only getting stronger!
