Mixed Team Cup: Round One Results

The course was perfect, the weather was perfect, almost everything was perfect for the first week of the Sunday Mixed Cup. But the best laid plans of mice and men (and women) often go astray!. Apologies for the delay in tee off times in the afternoon field which resulted in the last groups having a valid excuse for not hitting the ball well, namely they couldn’t see it. This will not happen again.
It was a very close finish with Team three scoring 101 points Scott Thomson with 37, Terry Roberts with 33 and Fern Thompson with 31, well done. All the members of your team who played on the day will receive a guest pass and a $20 food and beverage voucher, these can be collected from reception. Jill and Tony Prior also shared a guest pass and $20 food and beverage for finishing in (how shall we put in) diminishing light. Runners up were Pleasant Valley Sunday with 100 points, followed by three teams on 99 points, oh if only those putts had gone in.
The 19th was pretty good with the fire, the footy and a yummy platter of food oops almost forgot the drinks.

Final Scores
The final scores were very close at the top, with just two points separating the top five teams.
Team five struggled as some of their team members hit the club house more than they hit the scoreboard, see below!
Although some teams went better than others in round one, there is still plenty of golf to be played and all teams are still in it to win it! Click on the image of the leader board on the right to enlarge it.
Weekly Winners
Congratulations to Team Three for their win in Round One. Each member of the team who participated in round one have a prize waiting for them at Reception.
In addition, as mentioned above, Jill and Tony Prior showed great spirits as they played their final holes in the dark. Jill and Tony, please see reception for your prizes also.
Competition Dates
Now that round one is in the books, we look forward to round two which will be played on June 27th.
The following rounds will be played on 27th June, 25th July, 15th August & 19th September
