Grand Opening of the Heritage Terrace
Published on 2nd May 2024 in Heritage FoundationOn Friday the 26th of April the Heritage Team entertained a strong crowd of members and guests with a welcome BBQ to celebrate the long-awaited opening of the New Alfresco Terrace.
With the Construction complete, the new furniture and bar tables installed, it was time to extend the blinds, turn on the spotlights and heaters and share in the great atmosphere our new addition provides.
Our chefs for the occasion, fellow Heritage members Steve Adams & Chris Hansen manned the BBQ and served up beautifully cooked eye & scotch fillet steaks with salads etc. much to the delight of the diners. Of course, ably supported with some well-chosen refreshments.
We would like to thank the SVGC members for their continued support of the Heritage Fund raising programs i.e. Golden Ball, Disc Draws, Footy Tipping, Heritage Day/Week and just commenced the recycling of Bottles and Cans.
Without your generosity this project along with others completed over the years i.e. Electric Gates at both entrances, Path Lighting around the Club House, Course Furniture, (Flag Sticks, Sand Boxes, Bucket Holders, and Bins) Original Umbrella’s and Glass Balustrade on the terrace.
Finally, I would like to thank my fellow Heritage Committee volunteers for their commitment, the Board, and the Club for their support.
