Family and friends offer: Alan Wilson

Alan Wilson is loving his golf at Spring Valley since taking advantage of the family and friends offer and rejoining the club earlier this year.

Alan and his wife Linda first joined ten years ago after Alan had sold his business and planned to live a life of more leisure. But eighteen months later, Alan was tempted back to work, and he let his membership lapse.

Alan is adamant that he is now definitely retired and looking forward to making up for lost time by playing golf two or three times a week.

“Linda has a much lower handicap than me, so I’ve got a bit of catching up to do,” said Alan.

When asked how he compares Spring Valley now with the way it was when he first joined, Alan was effusive about the condition of the course and commented on the improvements in playability that have been made by removing some of the overgrown rough areas.
