Our Vision for Junior Golf at Spring Valley

The Spring Valley Junior Development Program has been created to provide every junior golfer with a place to belong, develop, and enjoy the game, regardless of age, ability, or long-term ambition.

Our philosophy is simple: “Find your place, play the game, love the game.”

Whether a child wishes to play socially, represent the Club, or pursue elite competition, our program offers a clear, supportive, and enjoyable pathway.

Program Goals

The Junior Development Program is designed to:

• Provide a clear pathway for all juniors, from beginners to elite players
• Follow best-practice junior development principles aligned with Golf Australia
• Build a sustainable, year-round program integrated with junior membership
• Recognise effort, improvement, and sportsmanship through rewards and milestones
• Support holistic development, including confidence, teamwork, and personal growth

All participants are connected to Spring Valley Junior Membership, strengthening the club community and long-term engagement.

2026 Program Structure and Schedule

The Junior Development Program operates year-round, aligned with Victorian school terms.

LEARN THE GAME. WEEKLY SESSION TIMES

LEARN THE GAME: ANNUAL PROGRAM FEE $999

Includes:
• 34 weekly 1-hour coaching sessions
• PGA-qualified coaching professionals
• Maximum 10 juniors per group
• Structured curriculum aligned with the SV Junior Pathway
• Development across putting, chipping, bunkers, full swing, and on-course play (Advanced level)
• Term-based assessments and individual feedback
• Junior Cadet Membership (including insurance and club benefits)
• Off-peak course access
• Full access to practice facilities during program times
• Discounted range balls outside sessions
• Use of equipment (if required)
• Recognition awards and milestones
• SV Signature Cap

Payment Options:
• Full payment (due 1 February)
• Two instalments (1 February & 1 July)

PLAY THE GAME SQUAD WEEKLY SESSION TIMES

(Term dates run across all four Victorian school terms from February to December.)

PLAY THE GAME: SQUAD PROGRAMS: ANNUAL PROGRAM FEE $1,499

Transition Period (Until 30 June 2026)
• Complimentary sessions for all current junior members
• Expanded course access for current SVGC Cadet Members
• No increase to existing membership fees

From 1 July 2026
• Entrance fees no longer required for new juniors
• Previously paid entrance fees credited to Subscription Accounts
• Credits are non-refundable and valid while membership remains active

Inclusions:
• 24 two-hour coaching and training sessions
• Small group sizes (maximum 10)
• Structured curriculum aligned with the Junior Pathway
• Full course access
• Practice facility access during sessions
• Discounted range balls
• Term-based assessments and feedback
• Recognition awards
• Integration into Pennant and representative pathways

EXCEL AT THE GAME

The application process for the Excel at the Game program is being finalised, and is expected to have full details available in March. This program is aimed at high-achieving juniors and will have set performance criteria.

If you are unsure which level is most appropriate for your child, our coaching team will provide placement guidance following registration or, if required, via a trial session.

We are extremely proud of the new Spring Valley Junior Development Program and the strong pathway it provides for junior golfers in 2026. The structure has been designed to support enjoyment, development, and long-term engagement with the game at every stage.
