What an eventful week we've just had! Last Tuesday, what began as a tranquil day at Spring Valley swiftly transformed into a spectacle of extraordinary weather. The aftermath, as captured in the photos below, hardly does no justice to the extent of debris strewn about after the passing front. Yet, it's with immense pride that we acknowledge the tireless efforts of our Course staff, who over and above on Wednesday and Thursday to restore playability to our course. Their dedication was nothing short of phenomenal, and on behalf of all members, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to them.
Traces of the damage may linger for some time, and our LOCAL RULE remains in effect, on behalf of all members, we thank the boys for their efforts.
Last week, we also released our member survey. If you haven't already, we urge you to take a moment to share your insights. Your feedback is invaluable as we chart our course forward. In recent weeks, we've welcomed new additions to our staff family. Join us in extending a warm welcome to Max Benner, our new PGA teaching Professional, and Daniel Groom, our Head Chef. If you cross paths with them, be sure to give them a friendly hello.
As always, there's a buzz of activity around the club. From our upcoming Nine & Dine event this Friday, with a few spots still available, to the commencement of our Men's pennant season this Sunday. All of our teams value your support, and there area number of ways you can do that available.
For those interested, as you will read below, our Men's pennant team will be presented on Saturday after golf, and there is an opportunity to join them for a game on Saturday afternoon. It is worth noting also, that we will be doing the same with our other pennant teams on the eve of their seasons commencing.
Excitement is also brewing as we gear up to launch the renowned Spring Valley Footy Tipping competition for the 2025 season, hosted once again by Crocodile Mick.
