A Golf Club's 75th anniversary is a momentous occasion that should be celebrated in a grand and memorable way. To mark this milestone, we will be having a festival of golf, commencing on Friday September 1st, culminating in a Gala event here at the Club on Saturday October 7th.
The celebration will focus on the rich history of the club, the achievements of its members, and the contributions those members have made to the Club we know today.
There will be numerous golf events on offer, all with a connection in one way or another to the history of the club, with events to be played on the original 9 holes, open events where members will be encouraged to bring along their families to show off their Club, and of course some serious events, where Club pride will be on the line! The Gala event will be a cocktail function, with an exhibit showcasing some of the Clubs history, and some of the club members sharing their experiences of being Spring Valley Members.
Members may be aware, that we share our 75th anniversary with three other local clubs, in Green Acres, Latrobe & Patterson River, so throughout the year we will be participating in a series of four Club events at each of these courses.
Finally, the club will create a special exhibit showcasing its history and achievements. This will be displayed at the club during the festival of golf, culminating on the Gala event.

We encourage Members to participate in all of these events, and spread the word to any former members they are in contact with, and of course share this occasion with family and friends.

Friday, September 1st - Twilight Golf
Join us for an afternoon of friendly competition in a Stableford Event. Enjoy playing 1 of 2 x 6 hole circuits, with pre-golf Sausage Sizzle, refreshing drinks, and the chance to win exciting prizes.

Sunday, September 17th - Guest Day
Invite your friends and family to experience the beauty of Spring Valley Golf Club with a shotgun start at 1:00pm. Enjoy a fantastic round of golf and catering.

Friday, September 22nd - 4 Club Celebration - at Spring Valley
We extend a warm welcome to Green Acres GC, Latrobe GC, and Patterson River GC for a special celebration. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie, delicious lunch, thrilling golf, and a 2 course dinner.

Sunday, September 24th - The Original 9
Step back in time and play the original 9 holes that Spring Valley Golf Club offered 75 years ago. Experience the nostalgia and revel in a day of clinics, hole-in-one competitions, lively music, and a relaxed dress code.
Saturday, October 7th - Gala Event
Dress up and join us for a glamorous cocktail party to conclude our anniversary celebrations in style. Enjoy an evening filled with elegance, entertainment, and the chance to mingle with fellow members. All attendees will receive a 75th Anniversary gift and a chance to have their subscriptions paid for 24/25 in our lucky door prize.

75th Anniversary 9 Hole Eclectic Competition
Starting on September 2nd and running until October 7th, the 75th Anniversary 9 Hole Eclectic Competition will take place on most of the original 9 holes (we will be using 10 instead of what is now the 19th)
All rounds played in competition on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays will count towards the competition for each day - Members will be automatically entered.
Other Events -
Members may be aware that we share our 75th Anniversary with three other local clubs.
Each of the four clubs will be hosting a day where a group from each club can come together to celebrate, and ultimately compete for the inaugural Anniversary Trophy.
The dates are as follows, and the format for each event will be as outlined above on our host day:
- Sunday August 20th at Green Acres Golf Club
- Friday September 22nd at Spring Valley Golf Club
- Friday October 6th at Latrobe Golf Club
- Friday November 17th at Patterson River Golf Club
At each of these events we will field a team of 24 players competing in a pairs format, with all four events contributing to the overall Anniversary Trophy. This will then become an annual event, rotating between all clubs.
Initially members will be asked to pick one event to participate in, subject to demand.
Timesheet bookings
Bookings for all of the golf events & our Gala evening will be via our online timesheets, and these will open on August 1st at 7.00pm.
75th Anniversary Lager
To honour this momentous occasion, we have collaborated with Bad Shepherd Brewery to create a special 75th Anniversary Lager. Crafted with care and excellence, this beer will be available on tap exclusively at Spring Valley Golf Club starting from early August.
