Junior Golf Program
Open to boys and girls (aged 5 to 13 years old) and organised to coincide with every term of the school year, these regular weekly clinics are designed to provide children with the opportunity to have fun, improve their game and technique, build friendships and introduce them to golf.
Spring Valley Golf Club is MyGolf Centre (Australia’s nationwide junior golf program) and we currently offer regular Saturday and Sunday MyGolf Clinics.

Junior Golf in Schools
Along with our MyGolf clinics, we also offer golf clinics to local schools under the MyGolf Schools Program (both primary and secondary).

Next Step after MyGolf Clinics
Encouragement after the introductory clinics is important to keep improving the skills and interest in golf. Spring Valley Golf Club offers two categories of junior membership (under 18): –
- Cadet (introductory to membership, limited playing rights)
- Junior (full playing rights)

Junior Golf Pathway in Spring Valley Golf Club
Spring Valley Golf Club’s junior development pathway is structured to support juniors playing golf at Spring Valley Golf Club. The Club is a strong supporter of the growth of juniors and increased participation of juniors in the club.
The junior development program is supported by the club’s Junior Development Fund and sponsors in this program enables us to:-
- Assist in the funding of the Advanced Junior Program to 6 selected junior members of the Club. The advanced junior program is a full program to encourage juniors as their next step in golf and progress their golf skills to on-course play, playing in tournaments and improving their golf etiquette and skills. (The clinics will be held twice a year)
- Sponsor established junior members of Spring Valley Golf Club in our ACE program, which is a two-tiered support program for junior members, meeting set criteria as a stepping platform towards Golf Victoria’s Junior Development Squad/Pathway.
- Encourage and support junior golf initiatives at Spring Valley Golf Club
ACE Program
The ACE program is a pathway before Golf Victoria’s Development Program.
Juniors that meet the criteria at any time throughout the year will be accepted into the ACE program. Limitations may apply in the future.
Criteria for ACE program:
Tier 1
(must meet 4 criteria’s below)
- Must be a member of SVGC for at least 6 months
- Handicap is under 6
- Victorian Junior Rankings top 20
- Club Champion – Open grade
- Won 1 Future Ranking Event
- Won 1 GV Junior Ranking Event
- Finished top 5 at least 3 times in a GV Junior Ranking event in one calendar year
Benefits:
- $300 credit in range balls
- $500 travel sponsorship for golf events within Victoria or interstate
- Gift pack to the value of $100 (Spring Valley apparel and accessories)
Tier 2
(must meet 3 criteria’s below)
- Must be a member of SVGC for at least 6 months
- Handicap is under 15
- Victorian Junior Rankings top 40
- Future Stars Rankings top 20
- Club Champion – B or C Grade
- Won 1 Future Ranking Event
- Finished top 5 at least 3 times in a Future Ranking Event in one calendar year
Benefits:
- $150 range balls credit
- $250 travel sponsorship for golf events in Victoria and interstate
- Gift pack to the value of $50 (Spring Valley apparel and accessories)
